Should child molesters get the death penalty?

I actually heard this on the news. They were saying that if we did put child molesters to death row than they would likely kill the children. I am for the death penalty because it destroys the life, mind, and innocence of the kid. I wouldn't want an increased possiblility of killing the child because then molesters would have no choice if they want it to be kept silenced and not have to face death row. But on the other hand, I think that molesters should get what they deserve and that's the death penalty.
