Do our children and grandchildren really deserve a healthy planet?

Considering how the majority of Americans today believe all kinds of conspiracy theories that say environmentalism is all based on lies, and the Bible,which the majority of Americans also believe says that the sis of the fathers are born onto the sons, so really should we really need to preserve our earth for future generations ,I mean kids today do just misbehave and talk back to their parents all the time anyway, so wouldn't they just have it coming to them to have all their cities be underwater and not be able to drink the water or breathe the air?
